Legends don’t fade. They evolve and The Dandy Warhols have been shape-shifting their version of rock and roll for over two decades, seducing the world with fuzzed-out riffs, hypnotic grooves, and a velvet-laced attitude that feels equal parts dive bar and daydream.
At SIGNAL, we’ve always believed in building more than snowboards.
We build ideas. We build culture. And most of all, we build things that bring people together.
If you’ve been with us since the Every Third Thursday days, you know that spirit: grab some wild materials, a spark of an idea, and see what happens. You’ve seen us create snowboards out of glass, embed iPads into a snowboard, and even build one out of cardboard. But more than the boards, it was about creativity, community, and curiosity.
Cardboard Sessions is that same spirit, reborn through music.
We invite iconic musicians into the studio, hand them fully playable cardboard instruments, and hit record. No rehearsals. No rules. Just raw, human connection through sound.
If you’ve ever bombed a line with headphones blasting, you know: Music is a driving force in snowboarding. It shapes our flow, fuels our style, and captures the feeling of freedom we chase out there.
Fresh off a run of LA gigs, the band rolled into Paramount Recording Studios, a place soaked in musical history to plug into a bunch of cardboard instruments and see what the hell would happen. They were cool, kind, and sharper than ever. No ego. No worries. Just a group of seasoned musicians turning cardboard into something strange, hypnotic, and sublime.

This episode of Cardboard Sessions is a front-row seat to the mastery: a raw, swirling ride through neo-psychedelic swagger and distortion-drenched elegance. You may have fallen in love to Bohemian Like You, or some of the deeper, more experimental grooves, but today, The Dandy’s remind us that true icons don’t imitate, they reimagine.

Why we do this:
Because snowboarding is more than turns on a mountain.
And, because we believe creativity connects us, and building strange, beautiful things is how we express that belief.
Thanks for being part of this ride.
