The fifth and final episode of the Minnesota House is finally here. Yusaku gets a haircut, the boys use far too much bleach on their heads, and hammers are thrown down! Thanks so much for all the support and love the Minnesota House been given over the last few weeks. We are stoked on our midwest crew!
Every Third Thursday is about ideas, about engineering, about the beauty of manufacturing and always pushing the boundaries. So what happens when we come up with an idea that has nothing to do with any of those meaningful aspects? We run with it! This month’s factory challenge is to build a snowboard integrating pennies—pennies in the base and “penny traction” edges specifically. Jake Olson-Elm is the chosen one to ride what might just be the worst ETT idea ever. Priceless! Hit play now to watch some noncents go down! Heads or tails, we think this month’s episode is still a winner!

The sun shines brightly on this month’s episode of Every Third Thursday. This week we team up with Powerfilm Solar to create a solar-powered snowboard! At the Signal Snowboard factory the flexible solar panels are adhered to the snowboard top sheet and then wired into a converter mounted between the bindings. With the build complete, it’s time to test out the voltage off the grid. Snowboarder Tyler Flanagan straps in and charges theMammoth Mountain jumps while charging his electronics at the same time—this electrifying new board passes the test. It’s a blast!
If you have every spent anytime on the Signal site you have for sure seen footage and photos from Cody B. Cody is an insane rider and we are way stoked to have him as a part of our Signal family. Recently Matt Vanatta from ESPN asked Cody some questions for the ESPN blog….and all we can say is…It’s about time! Get em Cody! Click here for the full article.
