There is just something about Hot Dogz and Hand Rails that just brings the weird out in people.  For the past 7 years the event has grown exponentially and now is one of the largest and most anticipated Winter seaon kick-off parties there is.  Unregrettably so, this year would prove to be no exception.  Uber pros, hungry groms, sticker hungry minoins, booze flowing like water...oh yea and hot dogs.  Don't forget about the hot dogs!  Just in case you missed out on the event, or maybe you just can't remember most of it...we wanted to share a few of our favorite shots of the day provided by our great friend and photog, Eric Bouvet.

Pre-contest HDHR always gets a bit rowdy and a bit "interesting".  A handful of Signal team shreds made it up to the event and were hanging out before the contest.   Jake OE and road warrior Rich Smith(pictured above) had a chance to swap stories and joke and prived one of the best quotes of the day;

Jake: "Hey Rich have you heard the one about......?"

Rich: "I have heard them all Jake....I have heard them all."  

For the past three years Signal has done a hot dog eating contest in honor of the event title.  This is a great way to pick an idividaul who is worthy of receiving a brand new snowboard and a great way to watch the same idividuals abandon all dignity and shove hot dog after hot dog covereed in hot sauce into their mouth.  It is truly a site to be seen.  Perhaps, only rivaled by how disgusting all the grey looking boiled hot dogs look waiting in the pot.  Congrats to the "winners" pictured above for getting to walk away with brand new boards.  Oh yea...and did we mention that the dude who won has won the past 3 years?!?  Look out Kobayashi!

A big thanks to everyone involved in making HDHR what it is.  We have so much fun up there and it gets better and better every year.  Season is on it's way and we have been doing our snow dance all summer long....hope you are too!!!
